About this build
Why did I do this? If you've looked at the Aviatrix Ultimax build I talked about how this sub was defective. The sub came with a slight misalignment that caused noise from the voice coil hitting the magnet during extreme excursion. I didn't notice it during testing as I did not run it to the extreme. Parts Express was very good about replacing the sub and did not require me to return the old faulty one. So I decided to see what would happen if I applied 120V at 60 Hz to the sub. This was the end result. I gutted the cone, surround, spider, voice coil, and magnet from the basket and used it as a hanger for my welding cables.
